SMS and Email:Picture of a mobile phone receiving an email

Chonos SMS allows a short message to be sent to a patient using a mobile number. 360CRM have developed an extensive range of SMS services designed to meet our client's every need.

Two Way SMS

Patients are able to reply directly to the SMS they receive. They can confirm their appointment intentions by replying “Confirm, Cancel or Rearrange”. The SMS content is highly flexible and clients have the option to include a telephone number in the message allowing patients to call the hospital directly if required.

Broadcast SMS

Trusts may need to communicate basic health information to patients such as stop smoking information and pill reminders. To reassure patients, clients can personalise who the patients will see as the SMS sender, where many Trusts may choose to show the message sender as their name not a mobile number

SMS Mobile Web Page

Hospitals may need to send patients confidential information such as their test results. SMS with mobile web page response requires patients to complete confidentiality checks (e.g. please enter your PIN) before sending them the information. Chronos is a fully managed service so all responses are captured and automatically reported in real-time for trust staff to access via our secure web portal.

Email

Patients can cancel, confirm or re-arrange their appointment by clicking a hyperlink included in an email. This is done via a secure web site which records the patient’s response. Emails have been proven to have a low take up rate as certain patient demographics, such as older patients, may be less likely to have access to a computer.

"We wanted the flexibility of using different contact methods for our reminders to maximise completion rates whilst delivering a high quality of service for our patients. The Chronos service offers this flexibility and has a proven track record"

"I'm pleased you've phoned because when I made the appointment they just told me where it would be and the time and said there would be some postal follow-up to give me details and I haven't had that"
